Amber Brophy Mock, a licensed Esthetic Instructor and owner of a makeup company in Alaska, first heard about Modere from an old high school friend, Eric Sablan. Eric asked Amber to meet a couple of times to talk about Modere, but she just wasn’t interested until she watched the company video. At that point, Amber knew social retail was something different and something she would be interested in.

Amber says, “The video and the ingredients showed me Modere was something interesting. I chatted with Eric the day I signed up and he lit the fire for me.”

Amber is very busy running her Modere business and raising three-year-old twins. In her free time, which is rare, she likes to travel, volunteer for local charity events, and listen to Electric Dance Music (her secret obsession).

Amidst her busy schedule, Amber has found something in Modere that none of her other pursuits have given her. She says, “Being a business owner, a mom, and giving back to my community doesn’t usually get you much recognition. I never knew the power and drive of being on a stage and receiving positive recognition until Atlanta.”

Amber believes the best thing you can do as a new Social Marketer is to get going right at the beginning. She uses this example, “Off to the races! You are excited now. Don’t let that excitement fizzle! This is an amazing opportunity, and an amazing brand. Get to work. It’s how you get paid!”

What’s Amber’s biggest goal? “To hit D2 before Mexico in February!” She says, “I love to work hard and play hard. Don’t ever let anyone tell you your dreams are silly. Just remember, there is a millionaire walking around who invented the pool noodle.”
