When first launched as a part of the Modere USA compensation plan, the new Coded Mentor Bonus allowed Social Marketers three months (May, June and July) to achieve the highest builder title possible. The highest title achieved during this period was used to determine how a Social Marketer would be coded on his or her enrollment legs for bonus qualification.
While the Canada compensation plan does not yet include a Coded Mentor bonus, Canadian Social Marketers may be eligible to earn this bonus when they enroll a new Social Marketer who makes their first purchase in U.S. dollars. For this reason, it is important that Social Marketers in all markets are coded. We want you to know that Modere is working to obtain approval for revisions to the Canada compensation plan that will allow uplines to earn a Coded Mentor Bonus on new Social Marketers who make a first sale in CAD. This can be lengthy process through the Canadian government, so your continued patience and support are very appreciated.
We understand that the discrepancy between the U.S. and Canadian comp plan provisions has caused some confusion, as many Canadian Social Marketers may have misunderstood the need to qualify as a Director 1 or higher during May, June and July to be eligible for U.S. Coded Bonus payouts in August. Due to the confusion and the lengthy approval process for revisions to the Canada plan, we are announcing a one-month extension of the code qualification period for Canada. This means that through the month of August, Canadian Social Marketers have the opportunity to achieve Director 1 or higher to be eligible for U.S. Coded Bonuses. Following the August commission period, all leaders from each global market will be locked into their respective coded positions moving forward.
Thank you for your energy and commitment as we grow the Modere brand in Canada and continue to elevate Social Retail as a global phenomenon.
Frequently Asked Questions regarding Coded Bonuses rules for Canada
Were Canadian Social Marketers coded at the end of July?
Yes, all Social Marketers around the globe, including Canada, were coded with the July 2018 commission month. However, Canada Social Marketers will have one last chance during the month of August to be eligible to lock in codes. US Coded Mentor Bonuses will be paid with the July 2018 commission check based on the highest title achieved from May 2018 through July 2018.
Why were all Social Marketers being coded at the end of July?
Social Marketers have the ability to build teams and earn commissions from all Modere markets. How an order is commissioned is determined based upon the market where the purchase was made. Therefore, when a new Social Marketer joins, the points associated with his or her first order are commissioned to the upline based upon the market from which the new Social Marketer makes his or her purchase. For example, if a Canada Social Marketer enrolls a new Social Marketer in Europe, the new Social Marketer’s order will be paid out based on the European compensation plan. The same is true when Social Marketers outside of the US enroll new Social Marketers who reside in the US, the order is paid through the US compensation plan, this includes any applicable Coded Mentor Bonuses for the first order. To ensure US Coded Mentor Bonuses are properly paid to all uplines, Modere must lock in codes for all Social Marketers, in all Modere markets.
Will Coded Bonuses be part of the Canada Compensation Plan?
Our intent is to align the plan as closely to the US plan as possible. Enhancements to the Canada compensation plan are currently being submitted to the Canadian Government for approval. At this time we do not know if Coded Mentor Bonuses will be approved for the Modere Canada Compensation Plan. As we learn more, we will provide updates.
If Modere Canada receives approval for a Coded Mentor Bonus, will the codes be reset?
If the revisions are approved and a Coded Mentor Bonus becomes part of the Canada Compensation Plan, codes will not be reset at that time for existing enrollment legs. The codes will have already been locked in based on the Aug 31st extended period.
What happens if a SM does not qualify as D1 in August, will they lose the enrollments legs that were coded to them in July?
Codes will be reset based up on the highest achieved builder title from May 2018 through August 2018 for Canada Social Marketers. In the event a member of the Social Marketer’s downline achieves a higher builder in August than previously achieved in May, June or July, they will then be eligible for codes on their enrollment legs. Keep in mind that a US Coded Mentor Bonus is only paid on a new Social Marketer’s first purchase placed through the NFR program.
If Modere Canada receives approval for the Coded Mentor Bonus, will there be any retroactive payments?
No, there will not be any type of retroactive payments for a Coded Mentor Bonus. The US Coded Mentor Bonus is a reallocation of the percentages from the First Order Bonus and Get 3 Doubler. The current plan in Canada has a higher payout percentages on First Order Bonuses (20%) and Get 3 Doublers (20%).
When will the updated Canadian Compensation Plan be approved?
At this time we do not have a date when the plan will be approved. We are diligently working with our legal advisors to address feedback and questions from the Canadian Government. This is a top priority at Modere.
If a new Social Marketer’s first order is in USD (US/NFR), how is the first order commissioned?
