GETTING TO SRC 2020 ON A BUDGET

You can promote Modere ‘til you’re blue in the face, but if you aren’t going to events, you’re missing a big piece of the success wheel. ENVISION SRC 2020 in Anaheim, California is rolling closer to us by the day!

This is the creme de la creme of events during the year. Three days, jam-packed with presentations, inspiration, and epic parties. This weekend has one goal–to give you the tools you need to improve your business and accomplish your goals.

We would love to see you and your team make this monumental event. To aid you in this endeavor, we’ve put together a list of budgeting tools, designed to help you save money while you invest in yourself. We will see you in Anaheim January 30, 2020 – February 1, 2020! REGISTER HERE.

Start a Budget

You have to start somewhere. Your first task before you even start booking flights or finding a hotel is to create a budget.

When you start, think about what you want to accomplish during the weekend. If you plan on staying a few days later or want to arrive a few days early to explore the city, a budget comes in useful.

Focus on things like how often you want to eat out. Does the hotel provide free breakfast or do you have to purchase it? Hotels tend to have more expensive restaurants, so avoid the cost.

Budget to help you hurdle the unnecessary items and stick to your daily cash allowance. This way, you won’t be surprised at the end of the trip.

Booking a Flight

Flight prices aren’t going down, but there are ways to ease the burden of the most expensive part of the trip.

First, Tuesday is the best day to book your flights. More specifically, around 3 PM EST. That’s when airlines open up their deals and feature the lowest prices. If you can afford an extra day, travel during an off-peak day like Wednesday to get the lowest price possible.

Make sure you compare airfares! This is key. Don’t settle for the first price. Travelzoo is a great site that pulls from almost every single airline and allows you to view all the prices in one area. Look at social media sites as there are people who make a living on providing you with the best travel deals.

Finally, settle for a little inconvenience. Connecting flights take longer, but they can save you a lot of money instead of taking a direct flight. Flights that go through larger airports (hubs) can also feature lower prices.

Take a drive to a city that has a cheaper flight. It’s worth it to fly a redeye flight, too.

It’s not ideal, but there are savings with an inconvenience.

Travel Together

Traveling together can save money on food, lodging, and transportation. If you’re planning on going to Anaheim and are within driving distance, carpool! Split gas money, take a cooler, and then book a room together. As you and your team travel together, this will give you the opportunity to talk about your business ideas and how you can be successful.

Go Grocery Shopping

Grocery shopping on a trip? It sounds weird but stay with us.

Go on vacation or any business trip and you will see a lot of your money going to food. MoneyNing.com recommends buying groceries instead of eating out.

Breakfast, lunch, and dinner, snacking, whatever; they all contribute to your budget in a big way. Many hotels have a fridge and microwave. You can easily find stuff at the store for breakfast and lunch and keep them in your room.

If you found a rental home, chances are you have a kitchen. This is almost a no-brainer as you can cook all your meals at home! When you consider leftovers and the cost of eating out (factoring in the tip as well), you will save money.

These are just a few, simple tips to help you make the most of this event. Anaheim and Modere are ready to welcome you to this great place.

We promise you it will change you and your business forever.
