Modere Platinum, Erica Thompson, has always felt the need to care for, inspire, and help others. Growing up, she’s continued to look for ways to be creative in her career, and this has helped her see so much success!

Erica has created something special here at Modere and by the looks of things, she’s only getting started!

What is your professional background?
While I was in college at Alabama Southern Community College, I worked for a well-known cosmetic business. I saw some success there, but I still had to work another part-time job while I attended school. After I finished college, I found a part-time job related to my degree (Applied Science and Computer Applications). I looked for a full-time job for several months. While I was looking, I started working in the health industry. It was here where I saw my most success because it inspired me more than I ever thought it would.

It was a natural step in my journey toward Modere!

What sparked interest in Modere?
Modere is caring, inspiration and health-driven, and these all played major roles in what sparked my initial interest in the company. My passion for caring about people I meet and their health has always been my driving force. I want to see others live a healthier lifestyle and share these products that have worked for me. Modere has given me an easy way to do this.

What’s been your proudest moment at Modere?
It’s hard to talk about any one moment! My proudest Modere moment was when I hit Platinum. I started tearing up! Since joining, Modere has helped me out at home with things like groceries and small amenities for the family. It’s a great feeling inside to be able to provide for my home and others that mean so much to me.

What do you love about Modere?
I love that Social Retail offers a variety of products that are clean and safe. Plus, Modere rewards both customers and Social Marketers!

What advice do you have for new Social Marketers?
My best tactic for introducing new customers is to add people you may know on Facebook. Comment, like, and share with everyone that pops up on your newsfeed, even if you don’t know them on a personal level. After a while, follow up! The majority of my customers come from following up, so that is a key aspect.

Make sure you keep your Facebook appropriate and professional so people know you are serious about your business.

What do you do when you find yourself struggling?
I learned there was a lot of value in Facebook Live. Sharing Live videos has helped me break the ice with strangers all over the country! These videos help your profile become more popular as you become consistent with recording. I’m a believer in Live videos. When you approach your audience with a more personal flavor, a special relationship will develop–something that’s important as a Social Marketer.
