Tina Grasby, new Director 2, is quickly working toward her goal to becoming an Elite Social Marketer with Modere. Her disruptive spirit, the support of her team and her leadership have all been part of her successful equation. Modere is excited to have her as an essential part of the family and know she is only just beginning on the road to Elite!
What sparked your interest in Modere?
My initial interest came when a friend introduced me to the company and its products. I’ve always been interested in living clean and having safe products for my family. The friend told me to look at the business and the financial opportunities that came with it. The fact I could join on the ground floor and work with such authentic, genuine people really won me over.
Seeing success at Modere, what do you do to move forward every day?
The biggest lesson I’ve learned is to not compare myself with other people’s success. Everybody has their own journey and story but when people compare themselves to others, that can harm the business. Be yourself and be proud of where you are.
Something else I do is to simply count my blessing every night as I take stock of the day. It helps ground me to feel gratitude toward what I have and what I’ve accomplished. Even the bad days are lessons to be learned and help me to grow as a person and Social Marketer.
How has your life changed since joining the Social Retail movement?
It’s obviously changed for the better! I can’t put into words how much my life has improved, both personally and professionally. I am continuously learning and growing and it’s got me constantly looking for ways to improve–especially when it comes to giving back to my community. I am gaining confidence in my everyday life and I feel it as I am a better mom, wife, daughter, and friend. Thank you, Modere!
What’s your ultimate goal while at Modere?
I want to become an Elite Social Marketer and help as many people on my team do the same. I want to help people change their lives both professionally and personally, as I have. That will give me the greatest satisfaction.
Is this where you wanted to be in your professional life when you were younger?
Thinking back, I always wanted to be a teacher and in a way, I have accomplished this. Helping teach others about living clean and looking after themselves is what motivates me. I love Modere and what it’s helped me become. I enjoy the products, the business model and our core values. And seeing my team succeed with the help of my leadership is the ultimate satisfaction.
What words of encouragement do you have for other Social Marketers who may be struggling?
As cliche as it sounds, don’t give up. Being a Social Marketer, or being in this industry in general, doesn’t come with overnight success. You aren’t going to become a millionaire in a few months. It takes time and work. You have to be willing to make plenty of sacrifices to get to the top.
You will have highs and low and a lot of “no’s” from people, but learn from those experiences. This will help your business grow. There will be times where you say to yourself, “I’ve had enough” but keep going. Stay positive, surround yourself with positive people and you will create a successful business.
Thank you Tina for leading the way in Canada and congratulations on this major accomplishment as a new Director 2!
