Modere is headed to Minneapolis, Minnesota for the next Fall Regional event.  We’re excited to visit the Land of 10,000 Lakes because the city is loaded with stuff to entertain and educate. If you’ve never been and no matter your interest, Minneapolis has something for you! Register for the event here.

We’ve put together a small list to help you get started. We recommend doing some of your own research as well if you want to explore the city.

Minneapolis Institute of Art

Located in the Whittier neighborhood of Minneapolis, this beautiful museum covers nearly 8 acres!

As you explore the exhibit, you’ll experience art from all over the world throughout various ages of time. Whether you’re an aficionado of Japanese and Korean art or you’re more into the art of Africa and the Americas, this place has it all.

If you have time, you can enroll in some quick, 20 minute classes or just peruse the galleries. This is a must see if you find yourself with extra time to explore.

Grand Rounds Scenic Byway

For those looking to experience Minneapolis in a very different way, the Grand Rounds Scenic Byway is your ticket. At the heart of Minneapolis’ trail system, this byway connects city parks, paved trails and regional trails.

The Byway extends more than 300 miles and travels through seven districts, including the Downtown Riverfront and the Mississippi River.

Our event occurs around the time the leaves start changing, so make sure you head outdoors to see the beautiful colors.

Minnehaha Park

Located in the heart of Minneapolis is Minnehaha Park. Designed by landscape architects, the park attracts nearly 900,000 visitors every year. It sits on the banks of the Mississippi and the highlight of the park is Minnehaha Falls.

You can take a leisurely stroll or rent a bike from one of the local companies to enjoy the sounds and smells around the park. There are three gardens located in the park, with the Pergola Garden that overlooks the falls.

And if you’re in the mood for succulent seafood, head over to the Sea Salt Eatery.

Mall of America

No visit to Minneapolis is complete without a stop at the Mall of America.

The largest mall in the U.S. is aptly named and features nearly every retail store you can think of. In fact, shopping is just the beginning. The mall features actual theme park attractions and rides that are fun for all ages.

If you want to explore the sea, head over to the Sea Life Minnesota Aquarium. This aquarium has been featured on Discovery’s Travel Channel and allows you to swim with the sharks, or if you don’t want to get up close, you can view them from a 300-foot glass underground tunnel.

There’s also a Flyover America ride, the Lego Store, a massive Escape Game and so much more. The Mall of America could give you days of pleasure if you have the time. Make sure you check it out!

Basilica of St. Mary

If you’d like to experience excellent architecture and engineering design with Baroque influence, stop by the Basilica of St. Mary.

Take a walk around the first basilica in the United States, which is considered the highest permanent designation for a religious building. This is due to the building’s innate design and historical architectural and spiritual influence. You’ll be sure to encounter inspiration looking at this historical architecture.

And make sure you register for this event before tickets are sold out! We’re excited to see you in Minneapolis!
