Customer Data Privacy Standards – January 2024

Privacy laws around the world continue to evolve. We take data security and consumer privacy seriously. Starting on January 11, 2024, Modere will start to remove from our database customer accounts that have been inactive for 24 months or more. This process will continue until the end of March.

What makes a customer account considered inactive?

A customer will be considered inactive

  • They have not purchased in 2+ years or referred a new customer for 2+ years
  • OR they created a customer account 6+ months ago, but never placed an order

What about Social Marketers? Are they being impacted?

At this time, Social Marketer accounts are not being impacted.
This is for customer accounts only.

How will the rollout of this happen?

Starting on January 11, 2024, Modere will start to remove from our database customer accounts that have been inactive for 24 months or more. This process will continue until the end of March.

Is this being enacted globally?

How will this impact customer attribution?

A customer whose account has gone inactive and has been removed from the system may re-enroll with whomever they choose.

How will this affect my commissions?

It will not impact your commission. The only accounts being removed are the ones that have not placed an order in a significant amount of time.

How will this impact my title/rank?

This will not impact your title/rank.

How will the removal of customers be displayed in the customer pod?

Inactive customer accounts will no longer appear in your customer pod.

How did we communicate with customers?

Customers receive weekly emails from Modere about current promotions and incentives to purchase. We will not email a customer letting them know they will be removed from the system if they qualify as inactive. They will not receive any additional communication.

What if a customer wants to purchase after their account has been removed?

If a customer wants to purchase again, they will just need to create a new account.

How can I get the information of customers whose accounts are scheduled to be removed so we can reach out to them?
