What is Modere Rewards?

Modere Rewards is an incentive program that offers enticing benefits for you and customers upon registration. From the moment you join, you can enjoy free shipping on any order of $150* or more, accumulate Modere Cash through new customer referrals, receive two semi-annual anniversary discounts annually, and unlock exclusive savings opportunities throughout the year. Additionally, subscribers are eligible to earn monthly Modere Cash based on their subscription order subtotal. 

* All dollar values are consistent and identical for customers in both the United States (US) and Canada (CA).

What programs will be modified or discontinued when Modere Rewards launches?

We have made some enhancements that depart from the previous VIP Program. To streamline the customer’s buying experience, the following programs will be discontinued and replaced with the new benefits effective Jan 8, 2024 at 1 AM MT:

  • Friends & Family Program will be discontinued and all outstanding links will expire January 7, 2024
  • VIP tier calculations will shift from item count and percentage to dollar value.
  • VIP everyday savings will be discontinued
  • Loyalty match discounts will be discontinued
  • Premium customer benefits will be removed and everyone will be part of the 2024 program

What are the benefits of the Modere Rewards program?

In the new Modere Rewards Program:

  • All orders of $150/C$150 subtotal or more qualify for free standard shipping whether it’s a one-time purchase or a subscription.
  • Customers and Social Marketers with a subscription order of $150* or more will receive $25 in Modere Cash and free standard shipping every month. 
  • For every additional $150 spent on a subscription order, an additional $25 in Modere Cash will be earned. There is no limit to the amount of Modere Cash that can be earned on a subscription.
  • Subscription orders between $50 and $149.99* will earn customers and Social Marketers $10 in Modere Cash.
  • Subscription orders under $50* will not earn Modere Cash 

It’s important to note that Modere Cash earned is applicable to the next order, not the current one, and is based on the subtotal of the order. 

Only subscription orders above $50 are eligible to generate Modere Cash.  Multiple subscription orders in the same month can generate Modere Cash based on each individual subscription order value.

*The value of each subscription order is based on the the sum of the actual value of each product purchased, before applying any promotional discounts or Modere Cash payments (or any other shopping credits).

Will using Modere Cash affect the Commissionable Volume (CV) of the order? 

Yes, using Modere Cash will impact the CV. The CV of an order is reduced at the percentage rate of Modere Cash applied to the order (% is based on the Modere Cash used as a % of the sum total eligible to be paid for by Modere Cash). 

Example, A $200.00 order is placed and the CV of the order is 150 before any Modere Cash is applied.  If the Social Marketer/Customer then applies $50 in Modere Cash, the CV would be reduced equally – $50/$200 =25% so the CV would be reduced by 25% – (150CV – 25% = 112.50)

While the application of Modere Cash does lead to a reduction in CV, Qualification Points (BV) remains unaffected and are not reduced.

TRANSITION PLAN FOR DISCONTINUED PROGRAMS

How will subscribers in the Loyalty Match program be affected?

Customers and Social Marketers currently in the Loyalty Match program will seamlessly transition to the new program. When the Loyalty Match program is discontinued on January 7, customers and Social Marketers will still accumulate Modere Cash. For subscription orders ranging between $50 and $149.99, they will earn $10 each month, and for subscription orders of $150 or more, they will earn $25 each month. Subscribers will also earn an additional $25 for each subsequent $150 spent every month. 

How will we transition current subscribers to the new Modere Rewards program?

In December, subscribers (Customers and Social Marketers) will receive communication regarding our new program. Starting January 8 and continuing through December 2024, to help facilitate their transition to the new program, monthly Modere Cash deposits will be made into their accounts as a Thank You for being a subscriber. The deposit amount will be determined based on their highest tier between October and December 2023.  Subscribers must have a subscription order in December 2023 to be eligible for the transition plan.

The monthly deposits will incrementally decrease every 3 months, ending December 2024, to seamlessly integrate the subscriber into the new Modere Rewards program by December 2024. Subscribers must maintain a minimum of $150 subscription order each month to be eligible to receive their Modere Cash Transition Deposits.

What if a transitioned subscriber does not have a minimum $150 subtotal subscription in a month?

If subscribers who are receiving the monthly Modere Cash deposits do not have a $150 subtotal minimum subscription in any given month by month’s end, then they will forfeit all future transition plan deposits.

What benefits do Premium customers receive in the One Year Transition Plan?

Premium Customers as of December 2023 are eligible for monthly Modere Cash deposits based on the rules outlined in the One Year Transition Plan diagram. Additionally, they will enjoy $150 worth of free products EVERY December starting in 2024, provided they maintain a $150 subtotal monthly subscription order throughout the entire year.

What if I delay my December subscription to January? Will I be eligible for the transition program? 

No, subscribers who miss their December subscription will not be included in the transition program on January 8.

Can I backdate a $150/C$150 subtotal subscription order and have it count for my transition credit?

No, transition credits are applied on the 1st of each month, and subscription orders must be processed before that date to qualify.

When are these transition credits loaded to the customer and social marketer accounts?

Transition credits will be deposited into eligible subscriber accounts on the 1st of each month. *Eligibility is determined by a minimum subscription amount of $150 subtotal in the preceding month.

What if a subscriber cancels their subscriptions?

If a subscriber cancels their subscriptions before December 2024, any additional Modere Cash they could have earned as part of the transition plan will be forfeited. The subscriber will then have 2 full calendar months from the last subscription order to redeem their accumulated Modere Cash.

Will the Everyday Savings Program still be available?

No, the Everyday Savings Program is being discontinued. However, subscribers can redeem their previously accumulated Modere Cash on any order they place.

Additionally, free shipping is applicable to every order with a subtotal of $150 or more for subscribers who maintain their $150 monthly subscription order.

Is the Friends & Family Program still available?

No, the Friends & Family Program is being discontinued effective January 7, 2024.

What happens if a customer joined in December and didn’t use all their Friends & Family codes? 

Any unused Friends & Family codes will expire with the conclusion of the program on January 7, with the new Modere Rewards Program launching on January 8. All outstanding codes that are not redeemed by January 7 will expire. 

THE NEW MODERE REWARDS 

As a new subscriber, can I apply my Modere Cash to my first shipment?

No, Modere Cash earned from subscription orders may take up to 24 hours to post to your account. Once available, you can redeem your Modere Cash beginning with your next order. 

The great news is that you can use Modere Cash toward your next subscription or any one-time purchase, or you can save them up to splurge later!

Does Modere Cash apply to enrollment collections?

Yes, customers who register as Social Marketers can apply current Modere Cash toward their Social Marketer enrollment collections, by contacting our call center for assistance.

It is important to note that this option is available for customers who have a current Modere Cash balance upgrading to a Social Marketer’s account.

Is free shipping limited to subscription orders only?

Not at all! Anyone placing an order of  $150/C$150 subtotal or more, whether it’s a one-time purchase or a subscription, is eligible for free standard shipping.*

*All eligible orders qualifying for free shipping will receive a 5 CV reduction.

Can new Social Marketers save on their first subscription order?

Yes! When a new Social Marketer enrolls on shiftingretail.com/shiftingretail.ca and sets up a subscription during the enrollment process (“Step 2 of 3 – SET UP YOUR SUBSCRIBE & SAVE”), they will receive a Modere Cash deposit into their account the following day. This Modere Cash can be applied towards their first subscription order. The amount of Modere Cash is determined by the subscription order they set up at the time of enrollment.

What happens if they don’t set up a subscription during enrollment?

If a new Social Marketer does not set up a subscription in the same transaction on shiftingretail.com/ shifting retail.ca (“Step 2 of 3 – SET YOU YOUR SUBSCRIBE & SAVE), they will not see their first Modere Cash deposit until AFTER their first subscription order processes.

What is the change to the way individual items are counted on a subscription?

There are no longer any item count requirements. Modere Cash eligibility is now based solely on your subscription order subtotal. 

How much Modere Cash can I earn based on my subscription spending?

You will earn $10 when your subscription order is between $50 and $149.99, and $25 when your subscription order is $150 or more (refer to the Modere Cash section for more details on earnings).

If I place multiple subscriptions in a month, will I earn Modere Cash for each one? 

Yes, every subscription placed in a month is eligible to earn Modere Cash. However, it is important to note that additional orders in the same month must be subscription orders for subscribers to earn Modere Cash. The items from these additional orders will be added to their template for the next month. 

If I change my subscription after my first month ships, will I still earn the same Modere Cash?

Any changes made to your subscription may impact your Modere Cash eligibility, depending on the subscription order value. The same minimum purchase thresholds apply each month. If your monthly subscription order value falls below $50, you won’t qualify to earn Modere Cash that month. Subscription orders ranging between $50 and $149.99 will earn $10 in Modere Cash, added to your account within 24 hours of order completion. Subscription orders of $150 or more will earn $25 in Modere Cash, and be eligible to earn additional Modere Cash of $25 for each additional increment of $150 spent in your subscription order every month. 

Please note that returns of subscription purchases may invalidate some or all of the Modere Cash earned from that transaction.

What happens if an item in my subscription is backordered or out of stock?

If an item on your subscription is backordered when your subscription order is generated, you will still earn Modere Cash as if the item was available for fulfillment. Backordered items will ship separately at a later date based on availability.

If an item is out of stock, you will need to update your subscription with an in-stock item in order to maintain your Modere Cash eligibility, depending on your subscription order value.

What happens to subscribers who have subscriptions running between Jan 1 thru 7?

Subscribers with active subscriptions from January 1 to January 7 will remain on the old program. On January 8, 2024, they will receive a Modere Cash Deposit determined by their highest subscription size between October and December 2023. The amounts are as follows: Tier 1 will receive $8, Tier 2 will receive $20, and Tier 3 will receive $60.

How do I qualify for free shipping? 

Simply place any order with a subtotal of $150/C$150 or more at any time during the month, whether it’s a subscription or a one-time order and receive free shipping.

Is the $150 for free shipping before discounts? 

Yes, it is! The $150 threshold for free shipping is based on the sum of the actual value of each product purchased, before applying any promotional discounts or Modere Cash payments (or any other shopping credits). 

Does Modere Cash affect my order value to hit $150?

No, it does not! Modere Cash serves as a payment method and does not reduce your subscription order calculation for reaching the $150 threshold. 

If a customer spends $150 and qualifies for free shipping, does this mean they get free shipping on all subsequent orders within the same month regardless of the amount?

No, free shipping is only applicable to orders with a subtotal of $150 or more. Any subsequent orders within the same month must also meet this threshold to qualify for free standard shipping. 

Do we need to download the latest update for the Modere shopping app?

If you do not see the new Modere Rewards starting January 8, please delete and then redownload the app to view all the latest Modere Rewards. 

How can subscribers view their Modere Cash?

Your Modere Cash balance will be clearly displayed in your account on both the Modere app and on your desktop browser. 

How will I track Modere Cash in the backoffice? 

New reports will be available in your backoffice. The customer pod report will be available Jan 8, 2024, and check for your new Subscriber report coming in February 2024! These reports are specifically designed to display the Modere Cash earned by your subscribers and provide clarity on the Modere Cash accumulated by your subscriber base. 

Will I continue to earn Live Clean Credits for my promoter rank each month as a Social Marketer?

Yes! 

Does the Modere Rewards program work internationally?

At this time, the new Modere Rewards program is available in North America only (US and Canada).

Can a referring customer based in the USA/CA earn Referral Rewards for referring a customer outside of the USA/CA?

No, to participate in the Modere Rewards program, the Social Marketer, the referring customer, and the purchasing customer must all reside in North America. International referrals are not eligible for Referral Rewards benefits.

Modere Rewards – Canada Specific

What happens if I have a subscription on both Modere.ca (CA OTG) and ModereGlobalShop.com (CA NFR)?

To earn Modere Cash, you must maintain an eligible subscription on either site, and each subscription must meet the minimum requirements to earn Modere Cash. Subscription subtotals cannot be combined across website domains to meet minimum spend thresholds.

If I place an order on ModereGlobalShop.com can I combine that order with an order placed on Modere.ca to qualify for free shipping?

No, your order subtotal to qualify for free shipping or earn Modere Cash must be reached separately on each site and cannot be combined.

If I earn Modere Cash credits on ModereGlobalShop.com, can I use them on Modere.ca, or vice versa?

Yes!

If I qualify for free shipping on either Modere.ca or ModereGlobalShop.com, can I use this benefit on either site?

Yes, customers/Social marketers are eligible for a one-time free shipping credit in the same calendar month as their qualifying order, which can be used on the other site. At the end of January, we will identify those who qualify for free shipping and deposit Modere cash into their accounts equivalent to the shipping amount. This manual monthly process will continue until automation is implemented.  We will keep our Social Marketers informed and provide updates once the process becomes automated. 

MODERE CASH

Guidelines for Modere Cash 

  • Modere Cash earned can be used on your next order
  • Modere Cash cannot be applied to the current order
  • Modere Cash Deposits are based on the sum of the actual value of each product purchased, before applying any promotional discounts or Modere Cash payments (or any other shopping credits).
  • Modere Cash can’t be gifted
  • Modere Cash will not expire unless a subscription is canceled

How do I earn Modere Cash?

In the new Modere Rewards program, subscribers with a subscription order value of $150 or more receive $25 in Modere Cash and free standard shipping. 

An additional $25 in Modere Cash is earned for every additional $150 increase in their subscription order value. 

Examples:

  • A $300 subscription order earns free standard shipping and $50 Modere Cash. 
  • A $450 subscription order earns free standard shipping and $75 Modere Cash.

For subscriptions between $50 and $149.99, subscribers receive $10 in Modere Cash (but are not eligible for free shipping). It’s important to note that Modere Cash earned is applicable to a future order, not the current one, and is based on the sum of the actual value of each product purchased of the order. 

Subscriptions under $50 are not eligible to earn Modere Cash. 

Only subscription orders can generate Modere Cash, with multiple subscriptions in the same month generating Modere Cash based on each individual subscription order value.

Can a referring customer earn Modere Cash even if they haven’t placed their initial order?

Yes, all customers can earn Modere Cash by referring new customers through the Referral Rewards program (previously known as Share the Love). Once the referred customer places their first eligible order, both the new customer and the referring customer receive rewards.  Referral rewards are only given on the first order. 

The new customer receives an immediate referral reward discount applied to their first order of $50 (subtotal) or more, and the referring customer will receive a matching Modere Cash deposit within 24 hours.

Social Marketers are not eligible for the referral rewards Modere Cash (Share the Love) in these cases, as they are paid commissions.

When will Modere Cash appear in my customer’s account for referring a new customer?

Modere Cash will be applied to your customer’s account within 24 hours following the acceptance of an order. 

Is the total amount for Modere Cash eligibility calculated before or after taxes/shipping?

The value of each subscription order is based on the the sum of the actual value of each product purchased, before applying any promotional discounts or Modere Cash payments (or any other shopping credits) and before adding any taxes or shipping costs.

Is there a maximum amount of Modere Cash a customer can accumulate from their subscription before they are subject to taxation?

No.  Modere Cash earned through personal subscription orders are exempt from tax regulations. 

Can I apply my Modere Cash toward an outstanding balance due, or to pay for taxes, shipping and/or any other fees?

On Modere.com, Modere.ca and ModereGlobalShop.com, your Modere Cash is redeemable only on your product subtotals before taxes, shipping and any other fees. 

Modere Cash is not legal tender and cannot be redeemed for cash or applied to any outstanding balances. Please note that returns of subscription purchases may invalidate some or all of the Modere Cash earned in that transaction. 

After 2 full calendar months after your last subscription order, any unused Modere Cash credits earned from your subscription will expire.

Can I exchange Modere Cash for money back?

No. Modere Cash is not legal tender and cannot be redeemed for cash or applied to any outstanding balances.

Can I transfer my Modere Cash to another Modere customer, or have their Modere Cash transferred to my account?

No. Modere Cash is non-transferable and redeemable only toward product subtotals before taxes, shipping, and any other fees.

How does a customer select how they want to redeem their Modere Cash?

The customer can choose the option to default to applying their entire Modere Cash balance every month on their subscription order, or they can manually type in the amount of Modere Cash on any order they want to redeem during the checkout process.

Do subscribers have a limited time to use their Modere Cash?

No, subscribers have the freedom to decide when to redeem their Modere Cash. As long as the customer maintains an active subscription, their Modere Cash will not expire. 

What happens if I delay my December 2023 subscription to January 2024? Will I still qualify for the transition program?

No, to be eligible for the transition program, you must have completed a subscription order in December 2023.

Can I backdate a December subscription to qualify for Modere Cash in January?

No.

Will my Modere Cash expire? 

As long as you maintain an active subscription, Modere Cash earned from your subscription will never expire. 

However, after two full calendar months of inactivity in your subscription history, Modere Cash earned from your subscription will be forfeited. 

Is there a limit to the amount of Modere Cash that can be earned in a calendar year? 

Modere Cash accumulated through a subscription is marked as Non-Earned, exempting it from the yearly limit imposed by tax regulations.

Modere Cash earned through referral rewards are subject to tax regulations. Customers can only earn a maximum of $599 in Modere Cash credits in the US and C$499 in Modere Cash credits in Canada in a single calendar year. 

Is there a minimum amount of Modere Cash needed to automatically apply to a subscription order? 

No, your Modere Cash is available to redeem on any order as soon as it is credited to your account.

Is there a minimum size order a customer has to place to redeem their Modere Cash? 

No, however, if you were a VIP or premium customer in our previous program and you are receiving extra Modere Cash deposits as part of the transition program until December 2024, you are must maintain a monthly minimum subscription order of $150.

If a customer upgrades to a Social Marketer, will they keep their accumulated Modere Cash? 

Yes! 

What are the shipping fees if a customer does not qualify for free shipping?

As of January 8, 2024, shipping fees are as follows:

  • Modere.com, Shiftingretail.com: $9.99
  • Modere.ca, Shiftingretail.ca: C$12.99
  • Modereglobalshop.com: $7.99

Anniversary Credits

$25 Anniversary Credits are applied semiannually to customers’ accounts and can be applied to any order over  $99.

Can I apply my Anniversary Credits toward an outstanding balance due, or to pay for taxes, shipping and/or any other fees?

No. On Modere.com and Modere.ca, anniversary credits are redeemable only on product subtotals before taxes, shipping, and any other fees. 

REFERRAL REWARDS (Formerly Share the Love)

What are the Referral Rewards?

Referral Rewards is a way for customers to earn Modere Cash by sharing Modere with their friends. Now, when they share their personal referral code with a friend, the friend will earn Modere Cash of $10 on their first order of $50-149.99 or $25 Modere Cash if their first order is $150 or more. (If the new customer increases their first order to $300, they will earn $50 Modere Cash. Every additional increment of $150 in the customer’s first order earns them an additional $25 in Modere Cash). And when the referred customer places their first order with Modere, the referring customer will receive a Modere Cash referral reward equal to the savings redeemed by their new referral as a thank you from Modere for sharing our wonderful products! 

The Modere Cash is automatically applied to the referring customer’s account when their (referred) friend redeems the code on their first order.  

*Due to tax regulations, customers can only earn a maximum of $599 in credits in the US and C$499 in credits in Canada in a single calendar year.

Do Referral Rewards affect CV (Commissionable Volume)?

Yes, Referral Rewards (previously Share the Love) provide a discount on a new customer’s first order, leading to a reduction in CV for the rewards earned depending on the order size. It is important to note that Qualification Points (BV) remain unaffected and are not reduced.

Do Referral Rewards expire?

No, Referral Rewards do not expire, provided that the customer maintains an active account.
